We are working now on the second volume of our quarterly newsletter named after hidden feelings expressed through the practice of floriography, or “the language of flowers.”
Each issue is ripe with trans abolitionist history/theory, news reports on outside resistance, artwork and letters from our members, legal resources, creative and self-care activities, publishing opportunities, and more!
You can view past issues of The Floriograph here or learn more about its contents below.
The Floriograph
History & Theory
Each issue of The Floriograph opens with a brief piece that delves into key moments or figures from LGBTQ+ or abolitionist history or that lays out important concepts from the abolitionist movement in an accessible manner.
Creative Space
We provide prompts and blank space for readers to draw or write about a new topic each time. (This is in addition to publishing the variety of work our inside members send us.)
Resource Corner
We provide small-but-straightforward guides to a wide array of issues facing our members: navigating SB 132 transfers, understanding new forms required for changing one’s name and/or gender marker, the importance of annual COVID vaccines, and anything else we’re asked about.
…and more!
The Floriograph aims to serve a wide range of readers and needs. We provide an “Outside News Review” covering current events from an abolitionist perspective, we supply guides for meditation and physical activities doable by all sorts of bodies, and we connect folks to other avenues for sharing their writing with wider audiences. And we’re always revisiting what we offer as we develop each issue!
